The classic 2.55 reissue flap is the first classic flap made by Coco Chanel. Hailed by enthusiasts, it's released season after season, first made in 1955.
The bag comes deliberately folded/creased at the bottom and in aged calfskin with aged hardware. Interior is lined in lambskin, and has a double flap.
Bijoux chain is intricately etched and can be worn double or single strap. Interior features two compartments.
In Black aged calfskin and black metal hardware. This is the "so black" or "blacked out" version of the classic chevron reissue 2.55 bag. The sleek v-shaped chevron quilted leather is black, and so is the black metal hardware, including the turnlock and the etched bijoux chain. It's a collectible piece and very difficult to find.
The 227 version, or the "jumbo" version of this flap bag is 12 inches wide and is the largest size of the three main sizes of this bag. Retails for $8,000 USD + tax in stores today.
